Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation Resumes Production and Tightens Food Safety Controls

After proactively suspending operations to comprehensively review and strengthen its management systems, Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation officially resumed operations at its Hai Phong Factory in June 2026.

In preparation for the factory’s reopening, the Company focused on reviewing the entire production chain, from supplier selection and incoming raw material control to every stage of the production process. The control system has been improved to ensure greater consistency and strengthen multiple layers of monitoring to identify risks at an early stage, while enhancing traceability throughout the process, from raw materials to finished products.

For its supply chain, the Company has also strengthened and refined its procedures for supplier selection, evaluation, and monitoring, introducing stringent criteria relating to legal compliance, quality management systems, traceability, storage and transportation conditions, and food safety control requirements. Cases that fail to meet the prescribed standards are reviewed and handled in accordance with the Company’s internal control procedures.

In parallel, all incoming raw materials undergo checks of documentation, goods condition, and storage conditions before being accepted at the factory. Only batches that fully meet the requirements are approved for production, helping ensure quality from the earliest stages of the process.

For canned products and sterilized sausages, particular attention is paid to stages that directly affect product quality and food safety, including packaging seal integrity, the sterilization process, and relevant technical parameters. These controls help maintain consistency throughout production.

Alongside improvements to the quality control system, the Company has repaired and upgraded selected areas of the factory premises, machinery, and equipment. It has also provided professional training for technical staff, factory workers, and other employees directly involved in production. Before officially resuming operations, the factory underwent a trial run to assess the stability of the entire system.

On May 25, 2026, Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation’s Hai Phong Factory was reissued ISO 22000:2018 certification for its food safety management system. This provides an important foundation for the Company to maintain and improve its quality management system and conduct production in compliance with applicable legal requirements and food safety standards.
