Ha Long Canfoco Resumes Production and Strengthens Food Safety Controls
After proactively suspending operations for more than six months to comprehensively review and improve its management systems, Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation (Ha Long Canfoco) officially resumed production at its Hai Phong Factory in June 2026. The resumption of operations followed the Company’s review of legal compliance requirements, strengthening of its quality management system, and enhancement of food safety control measures in accordance with current regulations.
During the preparations for resuming production, Ha Long Canfoco reviewed, repaired, and upgraded various areas of the factory, including production lines, machinery, equipment, and storage facilities. The Company also conducted trial operations to assess the stability of the entire system before officially bringing the factory back into operation.

Ha Long Canfoco maintains strict control over its production lines ahead of resuming operations.
One of the Company’s key priorities is to enhance the effectiveness of quality control throughout the entire production chain. The management system has been reviewed and improved to ensure greater consistency, strengthen multiple layers of control, improve early risk detection, and enhance traceability from incoming raw materials to finished products.
Across its supply chain, Ha Long Canfoco has supplemented and refined its procedures for supplier selection, evaluation, and monitoring based on criteria relating to legal compliance, quality management systems, traceability, storage and transportation conditions, and food safety control requirements. Any cases that fail to meet the prescribed requirements are reviewed and handled in accordance with the Company’s internal control procedures.
At the factory, incoming raw materials undergo thorough checks of documentation, goods condition, and storage conditions before acceptance. Only batches that meet the required standards are approved for production, helping ensure consistency in quality control.

In parallel, the Company has expanded the use of monitoring solutions, including digitizing control forms at critical production stages, installing additional CCTV cameras in production areas, and implementing barcode systems for warehouse management. These measures are intended to improve traceability for individual batches of raw materials and finished products.
For canned products and sterilized sausages, Ha Long Canfoco places particular emphasis on controlling stages that directly affect food safety, such as packaging seal integrity, the sterilization process, and relevant technical parameters. These enhanced control measures help improve production line stability and ensure product quality before products are released to the market.
Alongside improvements to the production system, the Company has organized training to strengthen the professional knowledge and skills of technical staff, factory workers, and other employees directly involved in production. The workforce structure and production layout have also been reorganized to improve consistency, enhance coordination between production stages, and strengthen operational monitoring.
On May 25, 2026, Ha Long Canfoco’s Hai Phong Factory was reissued ISO 22000:2018 certification for its food safety management system. This provides an important foundation for the Company to continue maintaining and improving its quality management system and conducting production activities in compliance with current requirements.
Going forward, Ha Long Canfoco will continue reviewing and improving production procedures, strengthening quality and food safety controls at every stage, and enhancing management effectiveness to deliver products that meet quality standards and help reinforce the trust of customers and business partners.
