Ha Long Canfoco Strengthens Control Systems to Gradually Restore Trust
Following a temporary suspension of production to review and improve its operating conditions, Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation (Ha Long Canfoco) resumed production at its Hai Phong Factory in June 2026. Alongside restarting factory operations, the Company has focused on strengthening its quality management system and food safety controls throughout the production process.
Review and Preparation Before Resuming Production
The production process is subject to strict control.
During the temporary suspension of operations, the Hai Phong Factory reviewed, repaired, and upgraded several areas of the factory premises, machinery, and equipment, while completing the necessary preparations for production.
Alongside infrastructure preparations, the Company organized training sessions to update the knowledge and skills of technical staff, factory workers, and other employees directly involved in production.
In May 2026, the factory began trial operations to assess system stability, coordination between departments, and technical readiness before officially resuming production in June 2026.
The time spent reviewing and preparing before resuming operations was considered a necessary step to ensure that production activities complied with requirements for quality management, food safety, and operating conditions.
Controls at Each Stage of Production
Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation officially resumes production.
For canned products and sterilized sausages, the Company places particular emphasis on controlling production stages that directly affect food safety, including packaging seal integrity and the sterilization process.
In parallel, inspections, monitoring, and record-keeping are carried out at various stages in accordance with the quality management system requirements, supporting effective control and traceability throughout production.
On May 25, 2026, the Hai Phong Factory was reissued ISO 22000:2018 certification for its food safety management system. Before resuming operations, the Company also reviewed and completed the necessary operating conditions, legal requirements, and internal control programs applicable to food manufacturing facilities.
Strengthening the Workforce and Operational Organization
In addition to reviewing production processes and facilities, Ha Long Canfoco reorganized its workforce and production layout to improve operational consistency, enhance coordination between production stages, and strengthen supervision at critical control points.
Management and specialist positions were reassigned in line with actual operational requirements, with a focus on clearly defining responsibilities, strengthening internal controls, and maintaining stable factory operations.
Regarding employees, the Company stated that during the production suspension, it had made efforts to fulfill relevant employee entitlements in accordance with applicable laws and the Company’s actual circumstances. Following the factory’s reopening, maintaining employees’ jobs and incomes remains a priority.
Gradually Restoring Trust Through Concrete Actions
According to Mr. Cao Nhat Huy, Deputy Director in charge of Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Corporation, following the review process, the quality management system has been reorganized to achieve greater consistency, with additional layers of control and enhanced monitoring and traceability capabilities.
The Company recognizes that restoring market confidence requires a gradual, action-based approach. Accordingly, alongside maintaining production, it continues to focus on process compliance, quality control, and stabilizing factory operations.
Resuming production marks one step in the Company’s return to operations. In the long term, Ha Long Canfoco considers maintaining standards of quality, food safety, transparency, and operational responsibility fundamental to gradually rebuilding the trust of consumers and business partners.
